IAF, EURATEX and ABIT collaborate on the content of international conferences

The international, European and Brazilian associations IAF, EURATEX and ABIT are collaborating on the content of their annual international conferences in autumn 2021.

The International Clothing Federation (IAF) and ABIT, the national association of the Brazilian clothing and textile industry, even gave their conferences the same theme, namely “Transition of the global system of clothing and textiles. the fashion “. The theme of the EURATEX conference is “A New Paradigm for the European Textile and Clothing Industry” and therefore also emphasizes transition. The three associations are fully aware of the urgency and importance of the transition currently going through the clothing and textile industries. Through their collaboration, they are able to offer complementary programs to a global audience, each focusing on different elements of this transition.

ABIT focuses on people, exploring data collection; a transition towards a design more guided by individualization and communication in a digital environment. The IAF focuses on intra-supply chain dynamics, examining how the relationships between buyers and suppliers need to change. And EURATEX has a strong focus on the role of legislation that shapes the actions of our industry.

ABIT’s international conference takes place on October 27-28. Visitors from all over the world can participate online www.congressoabit.com.br/ to hear a mix of Brazilian and international speakers. Brazil with complete supply chains from cotton to consumer often presents examples of transition that can inspire businesses in other parts of the world.

The IAF and EURATEX will hold their back-to-back conferences in Antwerp, Belgium on November 8 and 9 respectively. For visitors who could be prevented by pandemic-related restrictions from visiting the Antwerp site, the lectures will be available online. A common dedicated website, www.conventionantwerp.com contains all the information and the link to register. Antwerp is less than 50 kilometers from Brussels, where the European Commission unveils a very ambitious environmental and social agenda aimed at a large-scale transition that will have important consequences for our industry.

Three global conferences provide additional information on the enormous transition that the apparel and textile industries are going through. Their connection emphasizes that we have a global fashion system. To get the full photos, ABIT, EURATEX and IAF invite you to join the three!
